Hitler Distraught that YogaDawg Quits Snarky Yoga Blogging

In all seriousness I did want to thank the following yoga bloggers who marked my exit from snarky yoga blogging.

I also want to thank all the beautiful yogis who took the time for visiting the blog. I will occasionally add material here, so check back from time to time. Always my best to you all.

YogaDawg

So Long, YogaDawg!

YogaDawg.JPGLong time yoga blogger, YogaDawg, announced yesterday that he is calling it quits to pursue his passion for painting.

For years his blog, My Itchy Third Eye, and website, YogaDawg.com, have provided us with hilarious yoga satire that  reminded us not to take our yoga too seriously.

We'll miss you, YogaDawg! You are a true ARTIST in every way.

YogaDawg Moves On To Shake Up the Art World

Our beloved YogaDawg has moved on to shake up the art world as Art Trip:

Art Trip (formerly YogaDawg)

Fortunately all his legendary Yoga spoofs are still available on his YogaDawg website.

Please join me in thanking YogaDawg for all the belly-laughs and wish him well in his new satiric venture. (Do you think we should warn the art world he’s coming?)

The mighty Yoga Dawg steps down

My absolute favourite yoga blogger has decided that his yoga blogging days are over. It is a sad, sad day for me. He is awesome. So so funny.

I discovered his blog, My Itchy Third Eye when I had just started mine. I was thrilled. Awesome! Someone else who can see the humour in yoga!! People take these things way to seeeriiooouusslyy! I love yoga (and clearly so does Yoga Dawg) but i believe you're just dragging yourself down if you can't have a laugh at the whole thing every now and then.

Brain Break: Stuffed Animal Yoga

Found this gem on My Itchy Third Eye, a beloved blog of yoga snark that ends this week. Its author Yoga Dawg is putting his energy back into painting. We wish him oodles of blessings and luck and thank him for his service in keeping yogaland from taking itself too seriously. No small task. Ommmm.

Yoga Dawg Quits Blogging

One of my favorite funny people in yoga has left the blogging scene recently. This little bit of humor, posted yesterday, features a distraught Hitler learning the news of YD's departure. The video takes great big cracks at American Yoga and interestingly enough, for THIS blogger, uses the same metaphor I used in my Friday blog: That American Yoga is a circus. Lots of laughs, and lots of digs at Bikram Choudhury. Funny funny fun!! Om Shanti Rant Away, Mein Yogi!

A Sad Day for Yoga Snark

YogaDawg is retiring his blog and returning to his first love, art.  YogaDawg has one of the most pointed, satirical yoga blogs on the web.  Dawg's ability to pierce into the center of ridiculousness is unsurpassed in the blogosphere and will be missed.

Here's his last post.  *sniff sniff*

Goodbye Yoga Snark

As I come to terms with the news of YogaDawg Howls telling the yoga world, "Peace out", I confess that I'm bummed out. His blog and website are hilarious, and more than that, they are what the yoga industry sorely needs. YogaDawg to yoga is like the slogan of the tech website The Register: biting the hands that feed IT.... Who will now bite the hands that feed yoga?
