Yoga Poses
Background - This pose was developed from the Yoga cat/cow pose as taught in other styles of Yoga. Seeing a need for a more vigorous rendition of the pose, as well as continuing to respect the sacredness of the bovine in Indian culture, this pose mimics the behavior of the bulls you might see in bull fighting. Yogis have been known to have spiritual breakthroughs by contemplating the question while doing this pose, "Is this pose just so much bull?" Pose - Start on all fours. Rub your knees into the mat while you snout mucus from your nose. Breath. At the teachers instruction, put your head down and charge for the nearest wall, student, prop, sound system or anything that is close to you. Be careful of lighted candles as you must maintain the discipline of not burning down the studio in the process of doing the Brahma Bull. While doing this, snort loudly while chanting, "This is bullshit!" Breathe. Benefits - This pose will have a calming effect on the practitioner as they lay blissfully knocked out or laying in a neck brace in a hospital room. Especially beneficial for loud mouths louts, authors of online Yoga guides, whiny Yoga students and angry old folks. Next Yoga Pose - The Britney |
